What we are looking for…

A M&A Associate who will support our M&A team in building and managing our M&A pipeline by performing deep quantitative and qualitative analyses; coordinating asset valuations and supporting transactions from inception to close. This person is a total modelling rock star with deep knowledge and love of real estate and M&A transactions.

What you’ll do…

• Analyze new acquisition opportunities and prepare financial analysis on the viability of each transaction, incorporating a variety of financing and transaction structures.
• Perform acquisition due diligence, reviewing historical financial and operating performance at the company and property level, evaluating customer agreements and other documentation to identify key drivers of value and risk and surfacing necessary follow ups and gaps in information
• Complete accurate and thorough worksheets, reports, briefs, and proposals within agreed upon timeframes while tracking and communicating progress to senior management along the way. 
• Correspond with business owners and internal functional teams to resolve outstanding questions and complete tasks related to transaction execution and closing
• Work cross-functionally to enhance utilization of internal data in order to increase accuracy of modeling and the efficiency of the transaction lifecycle 
• Work closely with the CFO and VP of Finance to create a framework for tracking accuracy of financial analysis as compared to actual performance.

What you’ll bring…

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, Real Estate)
• 3-5 years in Finance, Real Estate evaluation, or related fields 
• Deep knowledge of real estate valuation and financial modelling, travel trends, hospitality, hotels, tourism and the short-term / vacation rental market. 
• A passion for all things real estate, an agility and ability to adapt to changing and ambiguous situations, and a general hunger for more. 
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of assets using financial modelling techniques. Demonstrated ability to effectively define and resolve problems that balance multiple needs and interests.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas, instructions and information effectively, both orally and in writing.
