The Finance and Accounting Department is the steward of the company’s resources that will enable Hyperloop to become a reality. We are hiring a Senior Accountant who will play an integral role in the Finance and Accounting Team by owning the GL, accounting for fixed assets, and managing the accounting for international subsidiaries. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with various levels and departments within the organization to produce solutions. • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Reconcile assigned accounts such as cash, fixed assets, deferred rent liabilities, and accrued expenses
• Maintain ownership of the capital asset management system and tracking.This includes the maintenance of capital asset records and corresponding depreciation expense.
• Standardize work paper documentation and implement process improvements
• Responsible for the consolidation, review and analysis of financial information from international operations, working with global counterparts
• Perform consolidation accounting responsibilities such as posting inter-company journals, reconciling inter-company accounts, and analyzing inter-company margins
• Manage and coordinate the preparation of regular reporting packages and statutory reporting for international subsidiaries
• Assists in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including variance reports
• Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of fluctuations in the financial statements
• Update & maintain the Chart of Accounts in NetSuite
• Prepare filings for state and local taxes and the US Census Bureau
• Assist with US and statutory audits
• Support accounting team with various ad-hoc projects and requests

• B.S. in Accounting
• Combination of private industry and public accounting experience
• Fixed asset accounting experience
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP & Understanding of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Statement and their relationships
• Expert Excel skills including use of Pivot Tables, VLookUps, etc.
• Experience working with ERP and expense management systems

• Systems Knowledge: NetSuite and Concur
• Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Technology experience a plus
• Tax compliance
