Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Lead

| Greater LA Area
Team and Role Overview
Relativity seeks a highly detailed and process focused Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to join our rapidly growing launch services company. You will be part of Relativity’s growing Finance team, which delivers strategic decision-making guidance to Leadership. Furthermore, Relativity’s Finance team provides our engineering teams with tactical analysis, efficient solutions and business trades support. In particular, this position will provide outstanding insight and analysis of Relativity’s operational and manufacturing flow, having a direct impact on business decisions and planning, and a critical voice on how our organization operates and grows.

The Mission/Outcomes and Objectives
At Relativity, we are redefining the way rockets are designed, built and flown. Starting with our proprietary and cutting-edge 3D printing technology, we aim to simplify and automate the manufacturing of rockets. This revolutionary approach enables us to make launch vehicles faster and more reliably, allowing us to offer cost-efficient and short lead-time launch services to customers.

As a FP&A Lead, your mission is to provide our business and engineering groups with the insights and analysis needed to optimize our organization’s decisions, whether they be at a common technical-versus-cost trade level, or at a critical strategic level. You will help to devise manufacturing workflow and order of operations, and determine automation steps and forecast when to implement them. Moreover, as someone that will have company wide visibility of process and procedures, you will be part of a working team that helps identify, down select, and implement software planning solutions (ERP, MRP, etc.), that will be the foundation of how our company grows. Overall, you will deliver outstanding and solutions oriented advisory to your business partners.

Candidate Profile
You’re a planner, leaving no detail unaddressed. You love solving problems of a sometimes maddeningly complex level, and you are capable of modeling out your results in clear and novel ways. You seek data everywhere to support your arguments, and you know how and where to find it. You know when to look beyond your screen, in order to solve problems that require more intuition than analysis. You love interfacing with technical minds and are able to work across teams to gather and incorporate feedback in order to deliver comprehensive and encompassing findings. Your demonstrated financial acumen is considered top tier. When you don’t know something, you admit it easily, but are resourceful, eager and quick in learning what you need to deliver results.

Ideally, you have first-rate training from a high-intensity work environment, and can deliver exceptional quality of work on a short timeline. Your career is built on completing difficult projects that have actionable results. Your ethics and determination drive you to take on the hard, while not cutting corners. You create wonderful, efficient process out of chaos.
