Financial Controller
Team and Role Overview:
Relativity seeks a highly talented Controller/HR professional to join a rapidly growing space startup. This position will provide diligent financial control and tactical resource planning for Relativity, and support human resources initiatives at the company. A high degree of technical competency, experience with enterprise resource planning, and familiarity with Human Resources law is a bonus.
The Mission/Outcomes and Objectives:
Our mission is to change the conception of the way rockets are built and flown. As the Controller of Relativity, you will play a large part in our mission by tracking project costs for engineering teams and budgeting across the company. On a day-to-day, you will help manage our books, track project costs, manage tax liabilities, accounts payable and inventory, and perform basic HR functions (i.e. Payroll, PTO tracking, expense reporting, options, benefits),
In addition, you will also be responsible for down selecting Relativity’s Enterprise Resource Planning system, implementing purchasing processes and managing external accounting staff and support.
Candidate Profile:
To thrive in this role, you should be someone with first-rate accounting based industry experience and excellent technical credentials. Moreover, you have demonstrated success in ambiguous environments, where you have implemented systems and new processes, and have lead projects into completion. You have the exceptional ability to multi-task and manage projects, while collaborating effectively with other key groups/clients.
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in business or related field
- 4+ years of relevant FP&A experience at a Big Four accounting firm or in a corporate finance role
- Certified Public Accountant
- Knowledge of ERP
- Hands on experience tracking budgets
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to manage an audit
- Hardware focused accounting and inventory management
- Experience in a startup or agile development environment
- ERP admin experience
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
