Altruist is an LA fintech company on a mission to make financial advice better for everyone. We’re looking to hire an entrepreneurial Senior Finance Associate. What you’ll do

• Manage FP&A for various projections provided to internal and external stakeholders
• Manage accounting duties, including AP, AR, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare annual 1099s
• Manage month, quarter and year-end closing activities for each subsidiary entity
• Manage end-to-end financial reporting processes
• Manage internal accounting software, including QBO, bill.com, and others
• Liaise with vendors and consultants in the production of financial reports
• Assist with the management of annual financial audits
• Help establish and implement internal control systems to ensure proper financial reporting processes
• Assist internal teams in managing customer payments and payment-related issues

What you’ll need

• 3+ years of accounting and/or FP&A experience
• BA/BS in related field
• Expert in Excel
• Familiarity with financial services and/or fintech is a plus
• Proven ability to work with a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness and autonomy
• Strong organizational skills
• Uncompromising attention to detail
• A passion for solving problems
• The ability to thrive in ambiguity
• Knowledge of GAAP, including preparation of audited GAAP financial statements
