About This Role

The Finance team is responsible for purchasing, accounts payable, customer billing and accounts receivable, payroll, accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and the systems that enable these processes to scale. We are seeking a Director of Financial Systems who will lead the development, implementation, change management and administration of our team’s financial systems. 

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the IT department, other departments, third parties and financial staff to ensure systems meet the requirements of both the business needs and the finance department
• Establish best practices for financial systems and ensure these practices are used throughout the organization
• Design and implement system internal controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data
• Work with the IT team and/or third parties to design delivery schedules of systems development and roll-out
• Review systems performance and identify system issues, and recommend and implement solutions
• Partner with the FP&A team to build systems to support the Company’s capabilities in forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
• Collaborate with FP&A to leverage the data platform and business intelligence software to enhance forecast accuracy
• Work with Accounting and Tax to ensure external reporting requirements are met (including requirements from auditors, tax authorities, and other governmental agencies)
• Manage system upgrades with the IT department and/or third parties
• Create, update and maintain financial systems policies and procedures
• Train and support finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures
• Research record keeping and reporting requirements and ensure that systems are modified to meet these requirements

What You Bring 

• 10+ years of broad experience and knowledge of accounting and information systems and integrations with other business platforms, including experience working in multinational organizations
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Finance, Management Information Systems or another related field
• Customer service, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to lead and influence people to a consensus course of action or resolution
• Passion for problem-solving; organizational skills; and the proven capability to make timely and sound decisions
