Role Summary:

As a member of the Accounting Team you will play an important supporting role in maintaining MDB Co's financial health. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for our billing processes, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. For this role you will use skills in project management, organization, and communication to collect and deliver payments to our partners and clients. This position will also give you some exposure to run reports that document profits and losses for an organization, and you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial information and organizing it in a way that provides a clear picture. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and be comfortable working with numbers.

What you'll be doing:

• Accurately prepare checks and payment packages with supporting documents for supervisor approval and signature
• Manage Invoice Approval Process via Concur
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues/disputes with vendors & suppliers
• Verify deposits from all platforms and post transactions paid out
• Run AR aging to apply any prepayments to posted invoices
• Verify ACH/Wire payment receipts and post transactions
• Collect checks from the mail and post check deposits (via bank remote capture)
• Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor

What you bring to the table:

• 1-2 year of related experience or higher education such as bachelor's degree in accounting, billing, or related major
• Experience at record-keeping and confidently working with numbers 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and interact with clients / accounts
• Expert project management and meeting deadlines
• Great organizational skills, accuracy and strong attention to detail 
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency
• Financial management software experience a plus, not required
