Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist (AP/AR) to join the Accounting Team! As an Accounting Specialist (AP/AR), you will monitor daily cash transactions, review company expenses in accordance with company policy, oversee the accounts payable process, and assist with collections. We are looking for someone who is organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. This person must have strong written and communication skills as he/she will be interacting with customers, vendors, and employees throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor daily cash transactions, including performing reconciliations against supporting documentation, bank statements, and the general ledger to ensure accuracy of accounts
- Create twice-per-month reporting on cash flows and cash position to VP of Finance
- Monitor expenses and enforce company T&E policy to promote expense reporting compliance across the organization while ensuring that expenses are correctly posted to the general ledger
- Oversee the Accounts Payable process, which includes completing payments and receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Onboard vendors and perform due diligence to set up payment arrangements
- Prepare supporting documentation for the accounting team as it relates to accruals and other close activities.
- Assist the Billings and Collections specialist with managing the Accounts Receivable and Collections Process by coordinating with customers to collect all outstanding balances
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent is a Plus
- Competency in MS Office
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong critical thinking and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Project management skills and well organized
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to flourish in a high growth and fast paced tech environment
