Overview

We're seeking a process-driven and technically proficient Finance Operations Lead to streamline our financial operations. This hands-on role involves identifying operational inefficiencies, implementing scalable payment operations, and maintaining risk controls for stablecoin transactions. You'll play a key role in developing transaction reporting systems, managing daily settlement processes, and ensuring accurate reconciliation of all financial activities, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless financial workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Identify inefficiencies in operational processes and implement solutions with a 360-degree view of operations and stakeholder requirements.

  • Document, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures for finance operations at Trust.

  • Develop scalable payment operations processes that accelerate transaction times and reduce stuck transactions.

  • Verify customer deposits in both fiat and USDC, and validate trust minting operations.

  • Implement risk controls by monitoring swap operations, tracking spread activities through exchanges, and verifying stablecoin transactions and redemptions.

  • Develop transaction reporting systems for customers, including daily settlement reports, transaction status updates, and balance confirmations.

  • Monitor customer wire transfers, track currency conversions, and rebalance fiat/stablecoin holdings as needed.

  • Calculate daily NAV and generate transaction fees reports.

  • Own the end-to-end settlement process including daily reconciliation, exception handling, and audit trail maintenance.

  • Manage fiat on/off ramp operations, including comprehensive reconciliation and financial reporting for all fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transactions.

  • Collaborate with exchange partners to optimize fiat-to-crypto on/off ramp processes, troubleshoot transaction issues, and ensure smooth conversion flows.

  • Create and maintain detailed reconciliation reports for fiat on/off ramp activities, ensuring accuracy between banking systems and crypto exchange platforms.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in financial operations or payment processing.

  • Demonstrated experience with cryptocurrency operations and blockchain transactions.

  • Track record of developing and improving financial operations processes.

  • Experience with settlement systems and reconciliation procedures.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial transactions.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in financial reporting tools and database management.

  • Experience with workflow optimization and process improvement.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
