Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the business cycles: current month, current quarter, current year, and 10 year plan (budget, QMI, LRF) for MEM Engineering organization in Defence Engines. Explain KPIs measuring the performance in all areas of spending - mfg support, field support & R&D (CFD) and customer spend. Analyze the variance to forecasts and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as needed. Coordinate and communicate forecasts to team/management.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of Engineering charging practices and color of money to insure appropriate charges to customer contracts, company funded categories, investment, and overhead.
- Facilitate/generate customer financial reporting per contract requirements. Coordinate generation of data for reports. Review reports with internal management.
- Aware of government financial contract requirements to insure compliance. Respond to customer financial questions/needs.
- Use Lean principles to stream line processes.
- Good understanding of systems: Clarity, Centerpiece, Spotfire
- Support requests for data in support of internal business needs, customer requests, audits, and proposals.
- Consolidation of total Defense Engine financials and cross business coordination/collaboration of data and process
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- At least 5 years of experience in finance/accounting
