Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for an accomplished Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. This position requires a forward-thinking professional with proven experience in public cloud environments and a strong ability to collaborate with financial operations (FinOps) teams. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, optimizing cloud costs, and supporting business objectives through effective partnership and analysis.
What you get to do in this role:
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, with a focus on cloud-related expenditures.
  • Partner closely with the FinOps team to analyze, optimize, and report on cloud costs, usage, and savings opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between the Engineering FinOps team and Cloud Finance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making in public cloud adoption and usage.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities related to cloud investments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations governing cloud finance management.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end financial close processes, specifically for cloud-related accounts.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, procurement, operations) to align cloud strategy with organizational goals.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in finance management, with at least 3 years managing public cloud spend (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Deep understanding of cloud financial management, including cost optimization and billing models.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with FinOps teams to drive cloud efficiency and savings.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial software and cloud management tools.

Preferred Skills
  • SAAS experience preferred, public or private company.
  • Experience implementing cloud financial governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with automation and analytics tools for cloud cost optimization.
  • A prior background in Product FP&A, equity research, investment banking, or similar background that understands both financial and operational metrics.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

FD21
For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $135,300 - $236,800, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
