Responsibilities

• Design, create, and update functionality for the tools, systems, software, and sites that support our CS team
• Identify opportunities to improve the user experience for the platforms, increase efficiency, and informational flow.
• Engage internal teams (CS, engineering, QA, Product, Marketing, HR, etc.) and external parties for help in implementing features
• Create data links, Lambdas, and APIs necessary for the successful delivery of content
• Compile reports and metrics on the effectiveness of development projects
• Consult on database development and informational management and implement the same

Qualifications

• You have extensive experience in back-end programming languages (Ruby or Python)
• You are well versed in common web technologies (WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other web development languages)
• You have worked with programming frameworks (Node.JS, Ruby on Rails)
• You are familiar with programming with SQL or other relational databases
• You are familiar with JIRA, Confluence or other project management software
• You are familiar with API integrations including web service APIs (SOAP, REST, XML-RPC and JSON-RPC), Library based APIs (JavaScript, TWAIN), and class-based APIs (Java API)
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and AWS IoT
• You are familiar with or are AWS certified as one (or multiple) of the following: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can convey information clearly
• You are a thoughtful, critical thinker, and a multitasker
• You have a strong attention to detail and are extremely organized
• You can adapt to change and are willing to wear whatever hat gets the job done
• You thrive in a self-managed, fast-paced environment, and are excited about taking on new challenges
• You have strong project management experience and understand how to partner with support teams to deliver on results.
