THE ROLE 

As the Technical Director - DevOps, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for building and enhancing the MomentFeed application suite. This is a hands-on role with supervisory responsibility over a small team of engineers.

We are a tight knit group, but you must also be comfortable working across teams and business units. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with our engineering team to detect and resolve infrastructure problems and enhance performance
• Create CICD pipelines using Jenkins and CodePipeline
• Write Dockerfiles for micro-services
• Code automations to manage our multi-region infrastructure
• Troubleshoot authentication issues, network connectivity, database replication, etc
• Participating in an on-call rotation
• Develop proactive monitoring and respond to alerts
• Help document devops workflows 
• Forecast and plan for the infrastructure needs of a fast-growing SaaS company and finding ways to improve the efficiency
• Maintain highly available and redundant web and backend systems

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
• Prior experience leading and mentoring a team of DevOps Engineers
• Expert understanding of the Linux operating system
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting
• Minimum of 2-year experience in AWS administration
• Experience with Docker
• Experience working with automated server configuration and deployment tools
• Enthusiasm to learn and support teammates
• Commitment to security and best practices
• Familiarity with source control systems such as GIT
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Basic understanding of VPC, Load Balancer, and security groups
