About the role

The Tech Lead will play an integral role at Albert in helping shape our products. It requires meticulous focus and the confidence to establish technical systems, develop polished code, engage in consistent documentation and inspire productivity across engineering roles as our company scales.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for our backend systems
• Be ready to jump in and produce high quality, clean, tested, well-documented and maintainable code
• Establish engineering processes to evolve our engineering standards
• Hire your team according to company hiring plan and coach them to ensure your team's success
• Research, design and implement new robust, scalable services
• Work cross-functionally to support the successful implementation of all features
• Build solutions for appropriate scalability
• Monitor and fine-tune our systems for optimal performance
• Improve, optimize, troubleshoot, test and maintain our codebase 

Requirements

• 5+ years of product engineering experience—preferably in technology startups
• 2+ years of proven experience leading small to medium sized technology teams
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience in the deployment and monitoring of production cloud systems
• Bachelor's Degree; Graduate Degree a plus
• Versed in Python, Django, Celery, Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Heroku, AWS, Linux
• Understanding of Kotlin and Swift a plus
