System1 is looking for a Tech Lead Developer. In this role, you will manipulate and leverage datasets to extract valuable insights coming from millions of user requests. Ideally this person is a Senior Full Stack Developer who enjoys mentoring others with infectious energy and enthusiasm for technology. As a Tech Lead Developer you will be working very closely with our CTO while leading a small driven team of developers.

The Role You Will Have

  • Be responsible for the re-architecting a significant portion of System1’s platform and ad servers
  • Develop new architectures for one of System1’s core platforms and integrate it with new services that unify our data and serving infrastructures
  • Design and implement algorithms to efficiently process, analyze, and serve massive datasets
  • Take projects through the full engineering lifecycle
  • Help grow a team and work with a tight knit group of engineers and data stakeholders

What You Will Bring

  • 4+ years of combined experience with full stack development
  • Well versed with Python and python libraries/frameworks is required
  • Passion for leveraging technology to solve problems and maximize productivity and thrive in collaborative teams
  • Prior experience leading projects with at least 2-4 engineers would be great
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent, Master's degree a plus
  • Should be comfortable writing HTML/CSS and proficient in Javascript
  • Experience building scalable and reliable products in the cloud
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and using RESTful APIs
  • Ability to execute on ideas and influence decision making in a clear and effective manner

He was able to balance his work at System1 with assignments and studying, and now, he’s implementing what he learned on the job. Currently, he and the data science team are working on an algorithm to optimize System1’s advertising on a new network. Their custom-built machine learning infrastructure makes it easy to deploy new algorithms and track performance.
