Job objective: This is an exciting role in a growing company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience as the primary quality interface with suppliers. In this role, you will facilitate supplier quality performance assessment, initiate corrective actions and drive process improvements. You will work closely with a talented engineering, operations and supply chain team to drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain to ensure quality parts into the factory.
Duties
Perform complex Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action initiatives using industry proven tools and techniques resulting in “Can’t Fail” process improvements with suppliers
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on non-conforming material disposition and corrective action with suppliers
Actively engage in new supplier evaluation, ongoing risk assessments and audits of current suppliers
Actively engage in the product development process representing supplier quality
Provide full service support to operations and supply chain to drive quality and compliance
Provide Continuous Improvement coaching and development across the facility
Develop detailed trend and performance analytics to prevent issues from occurring/recurring.
Review supplier FAI for compliance
Required Qualifications
BS degree in Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or related field
3+ years of quality/manufacturing experience
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances
Demonstrated knowledge of advanced quality principles, root cause failure analysis, problem solving, fabrication and assembly processes
FAI/PPAP review experience
US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)
Desired Qualifications
Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience
Certified AS9100 Quality System Auditor
Experience with RF Products, Electromechanical assembly and test
Experience with electronics and/or machining
Good written and oral communication skills
Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
