We are a Node.js shop with a React/Angular frontend. Our platform is built with Express and GraphQL in a microservices architecture. Our infrastructure is on top of AWS and maintained with Terraform. We are 100% containerized with docker, orchestrated with Kubernetes, and we use Helm to tie it all together in our CI pipeline.

Your impact:

• Drive UpKeep's TechOps / DevOps roadmap leading toward fully automated Continuous Deployment capabilities for all products
• Enable self-servicing by extending automation frameworks and improving build and deployment processes
• Develop and implement systems featuring high-availability, horizontal scalability, and self-healing capabilities at optimized costs
• Ensure a unified and reliable infrastructure approach across UpKeep that serves the needs of each product
• Serve as a technical SME for cloud services, providers, platforms, and emerging technologies
• Monitor, analyze, and report performance statistics for cloud-hosted environments
• Responsible for security incident management
• Partner with Finance and IT Management teams to ensure infrastructure and software licensing budgets are on target and accurate
• Partner with the Product teams to help plan for future expansions and capabilities relying on UpKeep's technical infrastructure

The following experience is required:

• 3+ years building, deploying, administration and monitoring software applications and related infrastructure
• 3+ years managing DevOps tools and processes (Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform experience is required)
• Cloud platforms (AWS experience is required)
• Infrastructure as code platforms
• Monitoring, APM, and Log aggregation tools
• System hardening and implementing security controls
• Building multi-tiered data analytics infrastructure in the context of company-wide data programs
• You know how to effectively balance speed and cost to implement, and the entire lifecycle of ownership when making recommendations
• You are an excellent cross-functional communicator, summarizing complex technical and business objectives with various stakeholders
