About the team: 

We are a multi-disciplinary group that works on the Droplist feature of the Honey extension, the website, and the notification pipeline.  As a member of our team, you will tackle challenging issues of scale, reliability, and user experience. We primarily use JavaScript, React, Node, GraphQL, and Scala. We run a micro services architecture using Docker and Kubernetes. On the engineering team, we value a can-do attitude, collaboration, learning, and curiosity. 

What You'll Do: 

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Honey, you will: 

• Work with product managers, designers and other developers to build and maintain frontend applications in React, Redux, and GraphQL 

• Work on frontend application architecture, perform code reviews, and improve and maintain our CI/CD pipeline 

• Help to make decisions about our technology stack and recommend improvements 

• Work with both internal and external rest and GraphQL APIs 

• Mentor junior/mid level developers 

About You: 

• Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills 

• Experience with React (or similar e.g. Angular), Redux, ES6  

• Experience using HTML & CSS 

• Experience building user facing web applications 

• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development team 

• Self-motivated to build and iterate 

• Ability to clearly express technical requirements, and explain to others your solutions and recommendations 

• Strong communication skills: a positive attitude, Ability to clearly express technical requirements, and explain to others your solutions and recommendations, and to give and receive feedback  

Nice-to-Have Qualifications: 

• Experience with GraphQL 

• Experience working with design systems 

• Experience with test automation and test-driven development 

• Experience with GCP (or similar e.g. AWS) 

• A passion for UX and design
