Job Description:

About the Team:

As a member of the Honey Checkout team, you will help us solve a complex problem – how to integrate Honey with millions of merchants, without requiring those merchants to do any of the work. In addition, you contribute to building a streamlined checkout process that allows members to capitalize on all Honey products and offers with a single click.  We’re looking at a variety of solutions – from brute force to machine learning and you will help us in finding our way! We use NodeJS and React, Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.  We love Typescript, solid testing and team spirit.

About the Role:

This mid level engineer will work closely with the other engineers on the team to put ideas into practice as prototypes and production ready software, in order to realize the vision of our Product and business partners. This will include working with PayPal engineers to understand how their tech can support our goals, as well as working with other Honey teams. As necessary, you may also help build out features on our web site in support of the overall Honey shopping experience.

What You'll Do:

As a Fullstack Engineer at Honey, you will:

  • Build back end services using NodeJS (and sometimes Go or Python), Docker and Kubernetes

  • Build front end features using React

  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for your production code

  • Brainstorm solutions with other engineers

About You:

  • 3 - 5 years professional experience as a software engineer

  • Strong communicator – you can explain technical things to non-technical people, in speech and in writing

  • Excited to learn, and to teach

  • Experience with at least one front end framework, ie React, Angular, Vue

  • Experience with at least one back end framework, ie Rails, Django, NestJS

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • SQL

  • GraphQL

At Honey, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company. We seek to create a culture where everyone can belong because we believe that people do their best work when they can show up every day as their authentic selves.
