Why We’re Here

We're looking for a razor-sharp Software and Data Engineer to help us quickly scale backend processes for our growing suite of products, while also playing a key role in defining our design practices and how we architect our solutions. While the seniority of this role is less important to us, and we are more focused on finding the right person, at least 2 years of experience working as a Software Engineer will help set our new team member up for success.   Our Software Engineer, Data can be based anywhere in the US and will be working closely with a distributed team in Pacific, Central and Eastern Time zones

• Our stack includes - but is certainly not limited to -  the following technologies: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Argo.
• Our infrastructure is run entirely out of AWS, and we currently utilize EC2, RDS, EKS (Kubernetes), S3, CloudFront, ElastiCache, Elastic Search, Redshift, and more.
• The technology department you’d be joining consists of about 35 people in total, with several backend and data engineers.

Job requirements

What you bring to the team

• 2+ years experience as a Software and Data Engineer

• 2+ years experience using PostgreSQL or similar relational databases

• 2+ years experience with Python and its common data processing libraries: Pandas, Numpy, SciKitLearn, etc.

• Experience using Jupyter notebooks is a plus

• Experience with the Django ORM is a plus

• Experience with data pipeline concepts and tools

• Experience with Argo, Airflow, or similar scheduling tools is a plus

• Experience with Looker or similar analytical tools is a plus

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with Linux
