DMAI is an early-stage startup committed to developing top-notch Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for education. As a team of UCLA and Harvard alumni including post-docs, PhDs, and undergrads, we’re looking for highly motivated individuals that are willing to develop creative solutions. At DMAI, you’ll work alongside a growing team of experienced researchers and accomplished entrepreneurs in Computer Vision, NLP, and unified AI.

What you’ll do:

You will lead the development of a programming language from its technical specifications. You are accountable for both the efficiency and elegance of your engineering.

Required

• BS/MS Computer Science with strengths in C++ with 3+ years engineering experience
• Experience designing new programming language syntaxes
• Design, maintain, and improve in-house compiler infrastructure
• Enable accessible, efficient data processing through new compiler optimizations
• Experience developing compilers, code generators and/or code optimizers
• Experience with Linux C/C++ compilers and linkers such as g++, gcc, icc, Clang, ldd, LLVM
• Experience with one or more of the following build systems: Make, CMake, SCons, GNU Autotools

Preferred

• Experience with just-in-time (JIT) compilation
• Good working low-level understanding of modern CPU architectures (Intel/AMD/ARM)
