As a Senior Android Engineer on the mobile team, you will get to build and design new features for long term scalability and maintenance. You will work in Kotlin to deliver a world class experience from spec to production for our carriers, while partnering with a passionate team of engineers, product managers and designers dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of our carriers. 

This role will require a background in building and maintaining an Android application in an iterative, fast paced environment. A passion for delighting customers with incredible software is a must, as our team operates in a collaborative and initiative driven mindset. In order to work cross-functionally across the organization, great communication and willingness to take risks and push boundaries will be required.

What You'll Do

• Build, create, and support our Android app
• Ensure quality and responsiveness of the products
• Collaborate with other developers, product managers, designers, and analysts to build great product experiences
• Identify and fix live production issues
• Work with and learn from highly skilled leading engineers within the organization
• Spec the architecture and execution of our mobile applications
• Establish key metrics to indicate success or failure after new product rollouts 
• Work within a strongly test-driven development structure
• Monitor performance using the latest tools to increase stability and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• 4+ years of software development experience
• Significant experience deploying customer facing products
• Ability to build out component based front-end architecture
• Strong accountability, work ethic and sense of urgency
• A solid understanding of software development practices, design patterns and software engineering concepts
• Superior communication skills and a positive attitude
• Proven track record of shipping code
• Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and iterative environment while remaining focused and successfully juggling many tasks
