Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the growth platform team at Honey. As an engineer on this team, you’ll be tasked with architecting, building, iterating, and maintaining various projects across various growth strategies such as internationalization, acquisition, retention, organic, social, and consumer comms. Execution can take the shape of dynamic user flows, third party integrations, big data aggregation, SEO optimizations, and A/B testing to name a few. As a code owner you will share the team responsibility of operational excellency (standards, best practices, testing, automation, monitoring). You can expect to collaborate with the product managers and engineers across all features and teams in addition to stakeholders from other departments such as Marketing, HR, and Legal. Your contributions will directly affect how Honey grows its user base and thus, will drive high business impact.
Job Description:
About You:
Experience with various database types (SQL, key/value, wide column, document)
Experience with caching (redis, memcache)
Experience building Node.js APIs, applications, and workers
Self-motivated to build and iterate in quick cycles
Experience building rich user-facing web applications at high scale (millions of users)
Bonus points for experience with message queues (Kafka, rabbitMQ, Google Pub/Sub)
Bonus points for experience with React
In This Role, You Will:
Own, maintain, and improve joinhoney.com code repositories
Build out Honey landing, feature and SPA pages on joinhoney.com
Architect, iterate, and maintain various full stack solutions to product & business asks.
Experience building out webpages for all browsers and devices.
Build Unit tests for your code
Communicate and solve problems with teammates
Use best practices to build out reusable React components
Optimization for SEO and User Experience
