Software Development Engineer

What you’ll do...

• Rethink how we build and architect cloud software
• Design and develop end-to-end experiences for key Rethink features and initiatives
• Collaborate with the team to implement scalable and robust services with the best customer experience possible
• Take full ownership of the quality of the code deployed to production
• Mentor team members to help develop everyone’s technical and leadership skills
• Contribute ideas to our roadmap and help shape the future of the company
• Learn and effectively perform in a fast paced startup environment

Who you are…

Highly technical. You have the ability to learn quickly, use different technologies, and drive complex technical projects from idea to high quality delivery. You have proven experience architecting and delivering scalable, secure, and performant cloud solutions. Proficiency in JavaScript, React, Node, as well as other modern tech stacks.

An experienced Engineer. You have years of experience designing and implementing software solutions for complex problems at scale. Prior experience building customer facing services and your code is currently running in production.

Customer obsessed. With so many technical challenges to solve, you never lose sight of the customer, are focused on building great experiences, and make sure our users always have the best experience possible.

Quality first. You love building great products and leveraging industry standards and tools to help make your code even better. You understand customer requirements, design features end-to-end, and prevent bugs from reaching our customers via thorough designs, robust code, detailed code reviews, and automated test coverage.

A Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and mentoring other members on the team. Your team-first approach allows you to make others around you better.
