    As a checkout team SDET, you'll take ownership of helping build automation and testing that will ensure high quality releases. This role involves owning test efforts across multiple technologies and platforms, such as web, browser extensions, and mobile apps. You will be responsible for test execution and helping to evolve our test processes and optimize our test coverage, making extensive use of automation. You will partner with developers, designers, and product owners to make sure we are delivering the highest quality and best test coverage possible. 

      

      

    What You'll Do:  

    As an SDET at Honey, you will:  

    • Work within the checkout team and own the testing for our products and features 

    • Architect, design, write, review, and test code  

    • Create and implement test automation code in a collaborative environment  

    • Leverage your peers as multipliers for your skills to create excellent products and services for Honey’s 10+ million users  

    • Work closely with other SDETs as a peer  

    • Make frequent contributions to our testing framework  

    • Build tools to support automated testing, load testing, and performance testing 

      

    About You:  

    • You like to break other people’s code and then help them debug  

    • You take pride in automating repetitive tasks, no matter how simple  

    • You write idiomatic Java, JavaScript, or Python  

    • You use a modern version-control system for your source code repository (Git, Mercurial, GitHub, BitBucket)  

    • You are comfortable working on the command line  

    • You have experience with basic database queries (MySQL, Postgres, Mongo) 

    • You have a working knowledge of Agile Development Practices and Scrum methodologies  

    • You are able to manage your time well and provide accurate time estimates  

    • You enjoy helping to improve quality assurance standards, techniques, and procedures  

    • You are someone that enjoys taking ownership and responsibility   

      

    Nice-to-Have Qualifications:  

    • Experience testing and automating on varied platforms: Web, Browser Extensions, mobile apps and webviews, etc. 

    • Experience with GraphQL, GraphQL Federation, REST APIs and supporting network protocols 

    • Experience with monitoring and observability  

    • Experience working with applications deployed into public clouds (Google, AWS, Azure)  

    • Experience running tests in a continuous integration system like Travis, Jenkins, or CircleCI (we use Circle)  

    • Experience with performance or load testing  

    • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
