The Security Engineering team keeps our data and intellectual property secure from all internal and external threats, both human and technological. We are looking for a Principal Security Architect to provide technical security leadership, architectural design, architectural support for security engineering, security tooling, and manage/perform hands-on deployment of security engineering special projects. This role reports directly to Tinder’s VP of Security Engineering. 

We are flexible and offer full remote or hybrid working models as options to accommodate our team. Tinder is headquartered in LA with offices in Palo Alto, San Francisco, and New York. We currently work together remotely and we've adapted our recruiting processes to accommodate virtual interviews with prospective hires.

What You'll Do:

• Provide mentorship to teams of Security Experts
• Perform security architectural reviews of our environments
• Document and communicate security architecture to business and security teams
• Set direction for security tooling initiatives and support open source initiatives
• Support external security outreach

Who You Are:

• You are dedicated to protecting the integrity of our security environment
• You love providing mentorship to teams surrounding security best practices
• You pride yourself in maintaining your technical prowess 
• You thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

What You Bring:

• You have experience leading and mentoring security teams in complex high threat environments
• You possess a deep understanding of Cloud and Application Security Best Practices
• You are proficient in programming languages
• You have experience performing threat modeling for applications and cloud infrastructure to identify potential security issues

Required Skills:

• Recent experience leading security teams at software companies
• Strong AWS administration/architectural experience
• Experience with open source initiatives
• Experience building tools and Automation for large cloud environments
