As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work on complex issues that require you to use wide-ranging, various experiences and skills. The answers may not be obvious at the outset, but you will perform in-depth analysis of requirements, data and external factors to create and communicate an appropriate plan forward. You will be a key member of a focused team, providing the technological know-how in context of a larger product or project-focused initiative.

What You'll Do

• Effectively communicate and understand complex ideas with other engineers/non-engineers
• Build systems to solve new problems
• Build, deploy and operate high-scale web applications
• Work effectively in an agile environment
• Learn and experiment with new technologies
• Deliver on engineering challenges and understand existing codebases quickly
• Write high quality and maintainable code and own engineering initiatives
• Display strong judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for delivering results

Who You Are

• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Experience working with web applications
• Experience with at least one statically typed compiled language (preferably Golang)
• Familiarity with AWS
• Familiarity with a variety of database concepts such as relational databases, NoSQL, column-stores, and distributed databases
• Experience with Big Data tools like Hadoop and Spark
• Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks, especially React and Redux
• College degree preferred
