The Role

As the fifth member of the Bliss Point Media engineering team, you will help expand and improve our product offerings and get a chance to help make all of the technical decisions for the business. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hardworking, a team player, and who is able to work effectively on front-end and back-end development projects. We pride ourselves on being small and scrappy do-it-yourselfers who work together to question the status quo of the TV business and provide exceptional value for our customers.

NodeJS, React, Postgres, Redis, Java, AWS Batch, AWS S3, AWS Lambda, Heroku

Background & Competencies
 

• Experience writing production software in any industry/vertical

• Experience with and willingness to work on both front-end and back-end development.

• Javascript and node.js development expertise, Java a plus

• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Compensation

Bliss Point Media is a startup, and we’re looking for someone who finds that exciting rather than intimidating. We’re profitable and will offer a competitive total compensation package to the right candidates, with a salary between $120K-$180K depending on skills and experience. This role is in Santa Monica. 

Interview Process

Our interview process for engineers works as follows:

• 45 minute phone screen with Justin (CTO)

• 3 hour visit to the Santa Monica office to meet the rest of the team.
