As a Senior Software Engineer, Tools, you will be at the core of Science 37 Technology teams engineering process building software that empowers engineering teams to deliver products at the top quality at a timely manner. You will spearhead developing scalable tools that enable engineers design, develop, test, release and debug software accurately and quickly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from design to production maintenance, solving challenging technical problems around development, testing, release and automated compliance
• Design and build engineering productivity tools including code performance analysis, advanced test automation system, release infrastructure and compliance tools.
• Analyze software systems and work with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability, security and maintainability

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Required Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Proficient with at least one of the following: Ruby (Rails is a plus), Python, Javascript, Java
• Experience in at least two of the following: building tools and libraries for testing, development and release, release infrastructure, performance tuning, debugging, building testing frameworks, testing automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience in designing and architecting non-conventional software like backend libraries ordev/test/ops automation libraries or web based SDKs
• Experience building web services
• Experience with Linux environment
• Experience with AWS
• Experience contributing to active open source projects is a big plus
