About the Senior Software Engineer, International role at Headspace:

Headspace is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join its International Team and be responsible for executing initiatives designed around international expansion and localization of of the core product. As part of the International Team you will be focused on building out localization support in order to advance our mission of improving the Health & Happiness of the world. The International Team at Headspace is ultimately responsible for the following areas: localization of core product and supporting backend, establishing best software practices for international expansion, and working closely with other teams to build a scalable platform. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

What you’ve accomplished:

• 3+ years of experience
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related experience
• Working experience in software localization development
• Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
• Proficiency in JavaScript
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and APIs
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
• Experience debugging JavaScript or CSS
• Proficiency in CSS and flex-box layouts
• Familiarity with NodeJS
• Experience with Ember.js
• Working knowledge of iOS and Android mobile development life cycle
