Location: Remote - USAAbout The Team:
The Crunchyroll Android team is responsible for building and maintaining all Android apps which are a core part of the Crunchyroll business. Code quality, top-notch performance, and cool new technologies are our priorities. And we don't forget about our users and the community! We're also on top of the automation game and have an extensive toolkit that makes our day-to-day activities a breeze.
About You:
- 5+ years of experience in Android development
- Excellent knowledge of Kotlin (and Java)
- Experience working with AndroidX and other Jetpack libraries, Kotlin Coroutines, MVVM/MVP, Android UI and animations, Retrofit and OkHttp, accessibility
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Deep understanding of software architectures and passion for code quality. Understanding and practical experience with design patterns. Ability to choose the best suitable architecture depending on the project and business requirements.
- Experience with unit and integration testing in Android
- Experience with Proguard or other obfuscators
- Experience with Continuous Integration services (Jenkins)
- Good knowledge of Git
A day in the life of our Senior Software Engineer, Android:
- Lead and contribute to the design and development of Crunchyroll Android apps
- Architect clean and maintainable code collaborating with other engineers, designers, and product managers, influencing existing and future features
- Advocate for best practices in code design, performance, and testing
- Prioritize autonomy while collaborating with the rest of the Android team, mentoring other engineers

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
