Senior RF Systems EngineerCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000286939Date Posted:2021-11-15-08:00Location:USA - Seal Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer located in Seal Beach, CA. The selected candidate will design, develop, and deliver complex state-of-the-art systems across a variety of disciplines for space-based applications with particular focus in RF signal processing. You will lead a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems. Project assignments typically span the complete program life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite development, launch, and on-orbit operations and test. Candidates will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists.Position Responsibilities:

  • Define and mature system architecture.
  • Lead development of on-board and ground-based signal processing algorithms
  • Lead and execute technical trade studies as a part of system development
  • Perform mission design and effectiveness analysis (incl. modeling and simulation)
  • Support ongoing operations and customer engagement
  • Support new business development, including IR&D and proposals
  • Establish, maintain, and verify system requirements and interface definitions.
  • Support demonstration, integration, and test of hardware
  • Support system-level integration and validation.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires travel, occasionally as high as 25%.This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics
  • 10+ years of experience with space-based applications for mechanical, electrical, RF, and/or digital subsystems
  • 3+ years of technical team leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using modeling and analysis tools appropriate to subject area (Matlab, STK, etc)

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
