ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Quality Analyst will be a member of NBCUniversal's Ad Sales Technology organization. This role will be responsible for both independently and collaboratively testing ad integrations across NBCU's websites, apps, and distributed content on different devices. Our QA team is split up into Web, IOS, Android and OTT squads. The Senior Quality Analyst will build test cases from user stories and requirements, execute tests and communicate results to ensure successful integration into our digital footprint and premium quality, ad-supported releases are available for NBCU's viewers.

• Performs hands-on testing and debugging
• Develops a deep understanding of the business objectives and requirements of NBCU's products
• Conducts testing one or more projects, determining the appropriate approach
• Communicates with project teams to understand build features, requirements and releases
• Develops tests that meet functional and performance requirements and satisfy user acceptance criteria
• Follows existing testing tools and practices and provides recommendations for improvement
• Performs peer reviews of tests that other team members build
• Ensures defects are quickly and clearly communicated
• Tracks progress and provides daily and/or weekly status reports
• Anticipates and raises potential issues that impact quality or delivery
• Assists with troubleshooting production issues to determine if a potential defect exists
• Keeps current with new technologies and testing tools
• Collaborates with product to understand user stories, engineering to understand architecture and design, and operations on environments and deployments
• Guides and directs onshore and offshore consultants on the team when needed

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline• 4+ years of experience with testing• Experience in the media domain• Experience in testing Web, Mobile (iOS & Android) and OTT platforms• Excellent communication and collaboration skills• General knowledge of internet functionality and web architecture• General knowledge of deployment pipelines• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Experience with issue and test management tools such as Jira, QMetry, TestRail• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols in select work settings or where jurisdictionally mandated.• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
Desired Characteristics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience working with both remote onshore and offshore team members• Experience in validating network logs using tools like Charles, fiddler, telnet etc.
