Location: Long Beach, CA or US Remote (in select states)

About the role and about You:

You will be working together with the QA Automation and Web Development teams to build out QA Automation support tools and support the Automation testing efforts around our web products such as our e-commerce and subscription services.  You will collaborate in cross-functional teams including teammates from our quality, engineering, product, design, operations, and support disciplines. 

We are looking for a Software Engineer who is comfortable in this highly collaborative environment, working with ambiguity, and being an agent of change to help build a world-class experience for our customers and our team. As a Software Engineer on the web team, you will be expected to help mentor the other engineers on your team and help the team make sound technical decisions. You will be measured not only by what you can do but how you make everyone else around you more productive.

 What you’ll do: 

  • Collaborate within cross-functional development and quality teams to develop tools to support QA Automation Engineers by improving on automated frameworks, pipelines and writing automated test scripts.
  • Help create dashboards, alerting and monitoring tools to provide visibility into system performance and health
  • Drive and influence quality within the planning and development cycle.
  • Learn, document, coach, and mentor within your team and across teams to improve and elevate yourself and others.
  • Contribute to technical planning and design efforts vital to executing our company roadmap.
  • Contribute to our interviewing process and team onboarding efforts.
  • Contribute to risk mitigation, optimization, and performance improvement efforts.

What we're looking for:

  • BS in Computer Science or Relevant Technical Area, with 3 years of experience or more as a Software Engineer
  • 3+ years working within or supporting Quality Assurance
  • Experience with GIT, git-flow and/or SVN
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration, including Jenkins
  • Experience with following: javascript, HTML, CSS, React, node.js, REST
  • Experience with React and/or Angular
  • Experience with SSO / Authentication
  • Experience with REST API Design 
  • Experience with Relational Database Systems (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with Docker and Kuberneters
  • Experience with test tools like, JUnit, JMeter, Selenium, TestCafe, Postman, Datadog, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team win
  • Self-motivation to deliver results and seek continuous improvement
  • Effective technical mentor to other engineers and enjoy doing it

Bonus Points:

  • Enthusiasm for cycling and/or Zwift
  • Experience working in eCommerce, payments, and/or customer support portals
  • Experience with AWS EC2, S3, ELB, Aurora, RDS, OpsWorks, Elasticache

(Colorado only) Minimum salary of $104,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
