The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Senior Production Engineering Manager to join the Production, Test, and Launch Engineering Capability team located in El Segundo, CA.  

In this role, you will lead Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineers, Liaison Engineering as well as Integrated Product Team leaders. Responsible for partnering with other functions and program leadership to implement improvement initiatives across El Segundo site.  Sets and drives the vision to lead the production engineering team into the next era of efficiency and technology.  This position is 1st shift. 

This fast paced, dynamic environment and the idea candidate is a self-starter who is highly motivated with a willingness to come up to speed quickly on standardizing internal processes and evolving work statement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, leads, and executes cross-program improvement initiatives
  • Liaison between production operations and engineering
  • Engages with all of the Satellite Program cross functional leaders to ensure a one-team approach
  • Represents Production Engineering as the Space and Launch PE Division representative
  • Partner with other functions in support of One BPS, Engineering Optimization, Satellite Production Transformation
  • Serve as a change agent to drive the Production Transformation to ensure future competiveness.
  • Responsible for driving PE functional Excellence
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Effective Communication skills to various levels of Leadership are required.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Production Engineering
  • Experience leading a Production Engineering Team

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • satellite experience

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.)
