Projects we’ve worked on include:

Location: building new location-based experiences on Tinder.

Authentication: rebuilt and streamlined Tinder’s authentication and account management systems, adding support for alternative signup and login methods like phone number in order to fuel growth in downloads and registrations.

Push Notifications: optimized the central service for all transactional push notification strategy behind more than 150M daily push notifications including rolling up, scheduling, throttling, frequency, and personalized message content. Our team A/B tests delivery strategies in order to increase delivery rates, reduce opt-outs, and increase user engagement.

New User Onboarding: optimized the new user experience to maximize the likelihood that a new user falls in love with Tinder.

Recommend: built the ability to share Tinder recommendations with your friends!

User Retention: optimized the end of the user lifecycle funnel, building features to understand why users stop using Tinder and adding incentives or addressing their friction points.

As a Senior iOS Engineer on our Growth team, you will:

• Take a lead role in building an application which delivers delightful user experiences at scale including architecture proposals, code reviews and hands-on coding
• Collaborate frequently with other teams to design, develop, and ship high-quality app features
• Ensure that technical designs support our goals of quality, performance, scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, and security
• Develop features to fuel Tinder’s global user growth
• Be exposed to a massive user-base and TB of data including billions of swipes per day
• Help us scale our product and team to meet the ever-growing Tinder user base and global audience

We're looking for:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep knowledge of Swift and Objective-C
• Expertise in the iOS architecture and design patterns and ability to weigh and communicate the pros and cons of different approaches
• Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining native iOS applications (point us to your work in the App Store)
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment
• Passionate about making high user impact and moving key metrics
• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering from a top school, but a wonderful project list is even better

Bonus points if you have:

• Coached/mentored individuals to grow in their career
• Developed testing suites for mobile applications
• Developed advanced animations & transitions using Core Animation, UIKit Dynamics
• Hands-on experience with Core Data
• Experience with AFNetworking, Alamofire or your own ways to deal with HTTP networking
• Run A/B tests and analyzed the results
• Understanding of growth-related metrics
