Workout output is tracked by motion trackers that calculate the speed and the amount of punches thrown during a workout. Since its launched in February 2018, FightCamp’s revenues have doubled every month. FightCamp is funded by Y Combinator, the world’s most prestigious startup accelerator.

About the Role of Lead iOS Developer

As an iOS developer at FightCamp, you will be a member of the Engineering Team where you will help implement features that will take our iOS app to the next level. This will be a challenging but rewarding task. On top of the ability to execute and implement new features using the latest version of Swift, you will also be assigned management tasks. You will report directly to our CTO as you will be expected to lead and manage a team of iOS developers as part of your role at FightCamp.

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Costa Mesa, California (remote during Covid-19)
Salary: $180,000 - $200,000

Equity: 5,000 - 10,000 stock options

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, maintain, and ship new features in a dynamic work environment.

• Create internal tools to help streamlining the operations

• Keep up to date with the latest trends in iOS development

• Act as a “Scrum Master” to ensure development processes follow the agile structure FightCamp has built

• Lead and manage other iOS developers

• Attend management training as you will become the leader of FightCamp’s iOS team, replacing our CTO in this role.

Qualifications

Requirements

Must Have:

• Senior iOS developer (5+ years experience)

• Have shipped at least one app in the iOS app store

• Expert in Xcode IDE, Swift, UIKit and tools such as Carthage and CLI

• Strong knowledge of web technologies, including APIs and protocols (e.g. HTTP, REST, JSON)

• Strong knowledge of MVC/MVVM and OOP principles

• Familiar with Protocol Oriented Programming

• Strong optimization and debugging skills

• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills

• Experience implementing dynamic user interfaces

• High attention to detail with a focus on quality and customer experience

• Familiar with version control systems such as Git

• Mid-Level Management Experience

• Great team player

Good To Have:

• Familiar with PromiseKit and/or CoreBluetooth frameworks is a plus

• Familiar with Web development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
