As a Senior Software Engineer on our Accounting & Finance Engineering team, you’ll report to the Director of Accounting Engineering. Your goal will be to automate data flows and achieve data parity between our homegrown billing system and NetSuite ERP. You will provide support for the Finance team by improving custom Ruby code with an eye towards stability, accuracy and automation. We’ll look to you to provide technical solutions based on your engineering expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Automate data flows between our homegrown billing system and NetSuite ERP with our custom integration
• Build fault-tolerant microservices, working with APIs, gRPC services, job processing and message queues across multiple services
• Participate in issue resolution for the integration platform, performing root cause analysis on problems, recommending and implementing remedies
• Communicate upstream and downstream impacts of technological approaches
• Test, deploy, and monitor changes on test and production environments
• Work with multiple teams and partners
• Participate in code reviews on GitHub

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in any OOP language (Ruby, Python, Go)
• Experience with custom integration architecture
• Familiarity with SQL databases and query languages
• Experience with building and operating software in the cloud (AWS preferred, or a similar cloud platform)
• Experience with automated testing (unit, functional, and integration tests)
• Contribute to and excel in a team environment
• Remote ok, will be asked to have overlapping hours in PST timezone
