About Us

VideoAmp builds technology for cross-screen video advertising. For the first time, advertisers are able to identify what devices their target audience is actively using and distribute video content on any screen, without limitations or barriers. Brands and agencies use our video platform to plan, buy and optimize video ad campaigns across multiple devices. Our video platform allows advertisers to access the latest technology for matching TV and digital audiences.

Core Responsibilities

As a part of VideoAmp’s distributed systems engineering team, you will be involved in the design, development, and deployment processes for our large scale real-time bidding (RTB) platform.

Our RTB platform communicates with ad exchanges to optimize the efficacy of our client’s ad campaigns. Our RTB platform is capable of handling 1 million+ queries per second with a processing time less than 50ms for each incoming request.

You will participate in collaborative discussions that focus on solving complex problems. We’re mindful of how the time and space complexities of the small parts greatly affects our services at scale. Carefully testing, benchmarking, and tuning our distributed systems ensures that our product is scalable, low-latency, robust, cost-effective, and correct.

Scala, Go, Python, Spark, Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of hands-on coding experience
  • Experienced with high-performance, low-latency, distributed systems
  • Experienced with stream processing
  • Experienced with SQL
  • BS or higher in Computer Science
  • Authorized to work in the US

Desired Skills

  • Experienced with Go or Scala
  • Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Enjoys data-driven performance tuning
  • Enjoys functional programming
  • Experienced with RTB protocols and ad-tech
  • Experienced working in Linux environments
  • MS or higher in Computer Science

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
  • Monitor and troubleshoot software deployed in production
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions
  • Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
  • Develop and release using agile methodologies
  • Report issues and concerns directly to the Directory of Engineering
