About the Company.

Gimbal is a marketing and advertising automation platform powered by physical-world data. Using our own hardware and software, Gimbal enables brands, media agencies, and marketers to deliver relevant messages in order to improve marketing communications and measure the effectiveness of their campaigns. Powered by its always-on location SDK, micro-location BLE beacons, and a complete mobile advertising stack, Gimbal’s suite of tools generates hyper-accurate location data that allows brands to target consumers more effectively and attribute their spend via actions in the physical world.

Gimbal is the most comprehensive location-based software and hardware provider in the country, led by a team of experienced serial entrepreneurs and media industry veterans. We’re headquartered in Los Angeles with satellite offices in New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, and Columbus.

About the Job.

As the Sales Engineer at Gimbal, you will be the technical point for the Sales team, responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. You’ll be working with internal and external stakeholders as the primary technical advisor and product advocate. You’ll also assist with support tickets, feature requests, and technical integrations for prospects and customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Evaluating, developing, and conducting solutions with clients and prospects by identifying all technical integration and deployment issues in the pre-sales and post-sales stages
  • Being the support and point of contact in responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Maintaining expert knowledge as a liaison between Gimbal and customer technical team for smooth customer integrations and deployment
  • Collecting and documenting customer requirements and developing use-cases to create and present custom client insights to drive further sales within strategic accounts
  • Collaborating with Sales to develop and present product demonstrations, articulating technology and product positioning to both business and technical audiences
  • Evangelizing Gimbal’s product suite to existing clients and prospects at field events such as industry trade-shows, training seminars, and sales events

Who you are:

  • A universal communicator — you are able to effectively bridge the gap between engineering and business teams, explaining the most technical data to the least technical people without any confusion
  • A self-starter — you thrive working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • A perpetual learner — you know what you don’t know and aren’t afraid to ask questions to fill in the gaps

What you have:

  • BS / BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years working with iOS (Objective-C) and Android (Java)
  • 3-5 years of experience in SDK implementation and marketing technology deployment, from onboarding to renewal
  • Background establishing support teams and building out processes in a startup environment
  • Experience in SaaS, digital marketing, and martech/adtech a plus

Benefits & Perks.

It’s no secret that we work hard, but we also strive to create an office environment where the lines between work and play are blurred. This means we offer these great perks to help keep our team healthy, productive, and happy.

  • 100% company-paid health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents, as well as life insurance and disability coverage
  • Unlimited paid time off - we trust your discretion
  • Opportunities for profit sharing, bonuses, and ownership
  • 401(k) plan plus company match
  • Cell phone reimbursement and subsidized gym membership
  • Annual professional development stipend
  • Fully stocked kitchen - snacks, drinks, and catered lunch on Wednesdays
