Principal Software Architect

Bridg's technology relies on data science and probabilistic modeling to identify and track the purchasers. A problem that is changing the world of physical retailer. Our platform is a combination of a large scale near-real time data pipeline (10s of billions of data points of sale transaction data from major retailers) and over 100 microservices built using latest best practices such as 12 factor. Our current tech stack includes Cassandra, Hive, Flink, Java, Athena & Presto, Glue, EMR, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Java spring boot based microservices.

We partner and integrate with companies with best closed data sets and data intelligence.

Bridg is seeking a Principal Software Architect who will jump right into hands-on development while leading a team of developers for our flagship products. Our teams collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, and Customer Success and provides the design and engineering for our systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Engineering discipline
• 5+ years Java and Spring Boot experience
• Experience with designing and architecting platforms that solve high scale problems
• Experience in a variety of relevant technologies including Postgres, SQL, Cassandra, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Java, Spring Boot, NoSQL databases, Elastic Search, Docker, Microservices architecture, and JavaScript
• AWS cloud experience, S3, ECS, Lambda, etc.
• Javascript and common frameworks
• Experience with React, Node or Clojure a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Highly motivated, curious, capable and a lifetime learner
