ABOUT THE ROLE:
NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology organization has an opening for a Network Automation Engineer.
The Network Automation Engineer will work within a dedicated team of network engineers tasked with building reliable and scalable network infrastructure for NBCUniversal's broadcast and media production facilities. The selected candidate will implement and maintain automation scripts for network configuration and management to support NBC's global infrastructure deployments.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Network Automation Engineer will work within a dedicated team of network engineers tasked with building reliable and scalable network infrastructure for NBCUniversal's broadcast and media production facilities. REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in network engineering or network-centric software development.
- 2+ years' experience with scripting languages, deployment orchestration, and version control (Python, Ansible, GitHub).
- Experience developing, maintaining, and understanding network device configuration for at least one vendor (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper) using automation tools such as Ansible.
- Network protocol experience and understanding of fundamental configuration techniques with some of the following: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VLAN, VRF.
Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience deploying and supporting hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure) with emphasis on network interconnect and security.
- Extensive experience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git to deploy networks at scale.
