WHY WE NEED YOU

  • You are passionate about model development and multiphysics analysis
  • You will take part in active collaboration with electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical engineers to simulate and understand complex phenomena
  • As a part of the EM Engines team, you will directly impact the key electromagnetic systems on the hyperloop pod

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop models to represent key physical phenomena based on analysis and test results
  • Simulate systems and subsystems to demonstrate static, dynamic, and transient behaviors
  • Deliver functional models to the loads analysis team for integrated MIL & HIL analysis
  • Own the fidelity, accuracy, and functionality of the models and underlying code
  • Develop modelling methodology to meet scope defined by design engineers within the team

WHAT YOU'VE DONE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in physics and mathematics
  • Built complex models representing electrical, thermal, and mechanical behaviors
  • Used MATLAB/Simulink to represent physical systems using time-domain and frequency-domain representations
  • Released code using Git, GitLab, or other enterprise version control systems
  • Applied equivalent circuits and differential equations to represent, linearize, optimize, and design system responses
  • Used technical documentation to communicate detailed analysis

NICE TO HAVE

  • Graduate degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience solving partial-differential equations and defining boundary conditions for similar problems, both analytically and numerically
  • Knowledge of control system design and analysis
  • Knowledge of standard signal processing techniques
