Model and Simulation Engineer
What You'll Do
- Have an outsized impact on the culture and key architectural decisions of the team
- Work on challenging problems in a fast paced environment from across our portfolio of programs and products
- Simulation solutions for Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development
- Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) solutions
- Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) solutions
- Customer product training solutions
- Monte-carlo simulations
- Failure mode analysis
- Multi-vehicle simulations
- Work with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts to understand and adequately model pertinent sub-system, system and system of system dynamics
- Work with internal and external customers to understand simulation requirements and develop adequate modeling and simulation solutions
Required Qualifications
- 5 years in relevant Science and/or Engineering related field; relevant academic experience (BSc. etc.) qualifies
- Nominal proficiency with C/C++
- Nominal proficiency with Mathworks products (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK etc.) and/or scientific Python (e.g., numpy, scipy)
- Experience with developing sub-system and system level models (Air vehicle, ground vehicles, ground based sensors and other types of complex systems)
- Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years in relevant Science and/or Engineering related field; relevant academic experience (BSc., MSc. Phd) qualifies
- Advanced proficiency with C/C++
- Advanced proficiency with Mathworks products (MATLAB, SIMULINK etc.)
- Nominal proficiency with FORTRAN
- Experience working with/developing multi-system mission level simulations (Air space simulation, swarm simulations etc.)
- Experience with model development to support Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development
- Experience with developing emulated/simulation interfaces for on-board avionics
- Early stage startup experience
