Individuals with approved accommodations will be subject to frequent COVID-19 testing.-Boeing Defense, Space, and Security division Autonomous Systems programs are seeking an Experienced System Engineer to support efforts to define concepts and systems engineering solutions to customer requirements to advanced communication, signal processing systems and other systems. The successful candidate will need to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT). This position is located in Huntington Beach Ca or Herndon VA.Experience in conducting mathematical analysis, modeling and simulation efforts to support product development is desired; prior systems engineering experience is required. The ability to work across a broad spectrum of disciplines including optics, RF engineering, and communications is needed. Experience in development of MATLAB algorithms is required. Will participate in algorithm analyses and design activities to optimize total system functionality. The candidate will support and evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of functional interfaces. Supports work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)*PLEASE LIST CLEARANCE LEVEL ON YOUR RESUME*Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 1+ years experience in Systems Engineering role
  • Knowledge of Requirements Management including derivation / decomposition as well as traceability
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Systems, process application, and risk management
  • Knowledge of Trade Study processes and format

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Process
  • Experience with Integration and Testing process
  • Knowledge of system architecture and modeling tools

Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
