We’re looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of our Camera Platform (AR) team, you will be tasked with managing and building a team of great QA engineers. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you will apply creative testing methodologies that straddle software development. You will strategically organize your QA team to offer the best coverage while also maintaining close relationships with your Software Engineers, Product Managers, Program Managers, Release Engineers, Customer Support, and Tools teams. Your drive and passion for delivering high quality experiences to our millions of customers motivates you and your team to continuously listen and deliver great experiences to our customers.
What you'll do:
Drive the technical and organizational roadmap for the team
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams distributed across multiple locations
Implement and enhance QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases
Guide the design and development of testing strategy strategies based on project requirements
Build and grow a team of exceptional QA engineers
Gather, analyze and report team and quality metrics which demonstrate business value and show continuous improvement
Creatively solve technical QA challenges with your team
Influence key Go/No Go decisions on product readiness
Drive effective and timely execution of test cases through tools, automation and creativity
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android devices
Experience testing web applications
Experience in automation testing to define which cases will benefit from this approach and where it’s better to test without spending time on automating
Wide knowledge of testing approaches
Experience with agile test tools and methodologies
Knowledge of photo/video technologies
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent experience
5+ years of software and hardware QA
5+ years of QA Management experience
