Hello! AppOnboard is looking for a Linux Systems/Network Administrator to help manage our internal network. Working alongside the DevOps Engineer you'll collaboratively diagnose and solve problems related to networking, systems administration, and a variety of other technologies. Success in this role will hinge on a strong desire to learn and a love of working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving tech environment.

AppOnboard is a next-gen platform that powers Full-Fidelity Demos, which allow users to instantly experience an app or game in the highest quality possible before downloading it. AppOnboard enables app and game testing, driving insights to product teams and optimizing app launches and onboarding. The company was founded in late 2016 by Jonathan Zweig, the founding CEO of AdColony (which sold to Opera Software for $350 million).

Responsibilities:  

* Linux systems administration and Mac OSX administration (setup, security policies, etc.) 

* Network administration (set up router, switches, firewall, VPN, DNS, DHCP, etc.) 

* Handle internal IT tickets

* Be integral to a team that runs a highly available, globally scaled infrastructure 

* Work with the Tech and Product teams to evaluate, deploy, and support new technologies

* Backup and monitoring
* Create thorough but straightforward documentation 
* Vendor management and selection 

* Assist in strategic selection of new technologies

* Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years experience Systems and Network Administration on a Linux distribution and/or Mac OS
• Knowledge of AWS cloud
• Proven understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, and relating networking protocols, technologies, and security related protocols (SSH, HTTPS, IPsec, etc.)
• Ability to create scripts in Bash and Python. Bonus points if you know PHP and/or Node.js
• Solid knowledge of Linux, Windows and OS/X
• Experience with Cloudwatch, Prometheus, Nagios or other monitoring tools 
• Knowledge of source control/repositories (Git, GitHub, BitBucket)
• Knowledge of databases (MySql, Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Experience in 24/7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud service provider
• An eager and enthusiastic personality ready to learn from others as well as on your own
• An aptitude for problem solving and a resourcefulness to find the information you need
• Excellent communication skills
