Lead Front End Engineer - Saatchi Art

We are looking for a Sr. Front End Engineer who is dedicated, results-oriented, and a tenacious problem-solver to join our Saatchi Art engineering team at our Santa Monica, CA office.

You'll Report To: Director of Engineering, Saatchi Art

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Utilizing front-end web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to bolster our social networking platform, single page artist tools, and mobile-optimized site
  • Working with a team of experienced developers in the creation and maintenance of next generation artist tools, and enhancing the e-Commerce experience
  • Building out our high-profile web 2.0 social networking, implementing notifications, activity and discovery feeds, leveraging our custom social engagement platform
  • Designing and coding new application features and functionality, working closely with product, marketing, operations, and QA teams

You’ll be successful if you are a results-oriented, hardworking, ambitious, and driven self-starter.

What You Have:

  • You have deep experience working with modern UI frameworks (React, Redux, Angular, etc) to build single-page applications in JavaScript.
  • Strong experience working with ReactJS and Redux.
  • Strong experience working with CSS3 and HTML5
  • Experience working with NextJS/ExpressJS is a plus
  • Ability to gather requirements, design, code and test independently as well as work smoothly within a team structure 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
