Ring is looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our rapidly growing Engineering team.

The successful candidate will have a solid mastery of the fundamentals of discrete electronic circuit design and be eager to improve existing designs and contribute to new designs.

Responsibilities

• Root cause analysis
• Engineer and design verification test characterization
• Simulation and Bread-boarding for analysis and design optimization
• Schematic, PCB Layout and BOM reviews
• Component selection and cost down performance evaluations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience with Electronic circuit design for consumer electronic products
• Orcad Schematic capture and PCB layout design flow
• SMT ROHS soldering Issues and DFA
• Signal integrity issues with SPI and I2C interfaces
• Power management circuits, including buck and boost regulators, LDOs, and all supporting components
• Li-Ion battery performance characterization
• Circuit design techniques for low power consumption
• Video imaging sensors, PIR sensors, IR LEDs
• Design techniques for ESD and surge robustness
• WiFi connectivity issues and solutions
• Antenna matching, or understanding of S-parameters
• Analog interface design for noise immunity
• Analog circuit design, including timers, sensors, and drivers
• Digital circuit design, including DDR3 interfaces

Nice to have

• Personal projects in electronics covering both processor and analog worlds
• Attention to detail, and a drive to achieve excellence
• Excellent communication skills and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment
