1. Overview

The Lead Vibration/Shock battery test technician 1st shift will work 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and will be responsible for setting up, programming, and performing tests including vibration, shock, module and battery pack cycling, temperature, and humidity testing.

2. Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrable experience in programming vibe and shock profiles, setting up tests, troubleshooting test setups, and working with minimal to no supervision
  • Experience setting up and operating mechanical shock towers
  • Environmental Testing including Temperature, Humidity, Thermal Shock Testing experience is preferred
  • Comply with and Develop Safety procedures
  • Develop test procedures for performing electrical product and component evaluations
  • Experience with high voltage and high capacity battery systems
  • Test and evaluate finished products and system capabilities to assure product quality
  • Experience running tests in programming environments such as LabVIEW or Python
  • Experience using communication tools such as CAN for test automation and data collection
  • Hands on experience with tools and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, and diagnostics and analysis software to perform standardized certification testing
  • Test circuits using diagnostic tools
  • Hands on experience with tools and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, and diagnostics and analysis software to perform standardized certification testing
  • Collect data and create test reports
  • Develop test procedures for performing electrical product and component evaluations
  • Test and evaluate finished products and system capabilities to assure product quality
  • Prepares product test reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
  • Expected to keep detailed documentation

3. Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical school diploma in electrical, electronic, computer science or mechanical technology/engineering
  • 3+ years of experience setting up and performing mechanical and environmental tests
  • Vibration and shock test experience

4. Preferred Qualifications

  • Battery test experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet exacting deadlines
  • Able to capture data, write test reports, and communicate any test issues
